Review Study of E-Voting System Based on Smart Contracts Using Blockchain Technology

Voting is an important procedure in democratic societies different countries, including Iraq. Electronic voting (E-voting) becoming more prevalent due to reducing administrative costs and burdens. E-voting systems have many restrictions that affect the electoral process. For example, fraud, tampering with ballot boxes, taking hours announce results, difficulty of reaching polling stations. Over last decade, blockchain smart contract technologies gained widespread adoption various sectors, such as cryptocurrencies, finance, banking, most notably e-voting systems. If utilized properly, developer demonstrates properties are promising for their properties, security, privacy, transparency, decentralization. Moreover, these allow citizens vote wherever they via digital technology (computers, smartphones). This paper explains nature contracts systematically reviews several studies. Comparative analysis conducted on recent related papers five years (published highly ranked journals international conferences) regarding types, frameworks, security requirements, implemented algorithms.
